The Avondale Elementary School District is inviting dedicated parents, guardians, and community members to join the 6-8 English Language Arts Curriculum Adoption Committee. Your voice is a critical part of our mission to select a new curriculum that best supports student success.

Interested community members are invited to submit the form below to be considered for a position on the committee. Final selections will be made at random from the pool, ensuring the committee is representative of our entire district. You will be notified directly if you are selected to serve on the committee.

The final date for collecting interest will be accepted is Friday, September 4, 2026.

The goal of the 6-8 English Language Arts Adoption Committee is to recommend a new content knowledge resource for adoption to support teachers and students in their efforts to meet or exceed grade-level proficiency in 6-8 ELA. The adopted resource will be implemented in the 2027-2028 school year.

Required Meeting Dates
Your attendance is required at all six committee meetings. All meetings will take place from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm in the AESD Governing Board Room at 295 W. Western Avenue:
