Welcome to the Transportation Department

Welcome to Avondale ESD’s Transportation Department webpage.  We have a caring and committed staff ready to transport students to and from school each day. We maintain a fleet of 40 school buses that transports 1,225 bus riders more than 105,000 miles each year, and an additional 8,000 miles taking students on field trips and other after-school activities.

On this page, you will find information about student ID badges and the Zonar MyView Parent App, an online program that alerts parents when their child gets on and off the bus, and estimated times of arrival.

Student ID Badges

Avondale ESD issues student ID cards and lanyards to all students for services like riding the bus, scanning for meals in the cafeteria, checking out library books, and scanning when a student is tardy.  Students are required to wear their ID badge every day and should have them on prior to boarding the bus each morning.

Students need to:

  • Bring their ID card each day.
  • Wear their ID’s around their neck using lanyards provided by the district.  They should have their ID card out and ready to scan when riding the bus and in the cafeteria.
  • Replace card if lost ($5 ID card replacement fee will be charged).
  • Only the district issued ID cards will scan on the buses.

Please see the Student ID Badge flier for additional information on student ID cards.

Zonar MyView Parent App

Avondale ESD uses the Zonar MyView Parent App, an easy-to-use mobile app that allows you to check on the school bus at any time, when your child gets on and off the bus, and estimated times of arrival.

Please download the Zonar MyView informational flier below for additional information and how to download the app. Once the app is downloaded, you will need the following school access code and your student’s ID number to create your account:

The School Access code for all schools is AVO9626.

Please note, when the app asks "What bus do you want to follow?" (search for bus #) at this prompt you should enter the route name, no dashes.

Example:   Copper Trails Bus 2:  Enter CT2  OR

Example:   Lattie Coor Bus 1: Enter LC/ECF/AMS1

(The Community of Schools must enter all three schools, then the bus number.)

The app will display AM or PM for you to choose.
