About Avondale ESD

Welcome to Avondale ESD

The Avondale Elementary School District was established in 1894. We are an “A” rated school district and six of our schools are “A” schools. Located west of Phoenix, our district is home to nine schools ranging from preschool through eighth grade with several choice program options. We were voted as the Best District in the southwest valley in the “Best of the Best Awards” (2022, 2023, 2024), the Best Place to Work in the “Best of the Desert Awards” (2023, 2024), Best Public School (2023, 2024), Best Preschool (2023, 2024), and Best Childcare (2024).  We are also proud to be ranked among the best schools in the country by U.S. News & World Report.

Full & Half-Day Preschool at AESD

Avondale ESD offers full and half-day preschool options. No need to switch between schools! Enroll your child at a district they can call home from preschool through the end of eighth grade. 
 

Daily at AESD: Art, Music, Coding & P.E.

Art, music, P.E., coding and computer science are all offered 40 minutes a day for students in kindergarten through eighth grade at our schools! .
