The Grants Department is responsible for identifying potential grant funding opportunities, preparing and submitting grant applications, managing awarded grants, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, and monitoring the use of grant funds to achieve specific district goals and initiatives.

In addition to competitive grants, Avondale ESD receives “entitlement” grants each year based on our district demographics.  The Grants Department collaborates with stakeholders, including parents, to determine how to use the funding to increase student achievement for the grant’s intended student groups.

The Avondale ESD Grants Department also oversees all federal programs including Title I, McKinney Vento (Homeless Education) and the Migrant Education Program.
