Avondale ESD is a fast-growing leader in public education serving students from preschool through eighth grade, located 15 miles west of downtown Phoenix. Our schools serve the students residing in the cities of Avondale and Goodyear. Our nine schools serve approximately 6,000 students, supported by a dedicated staff actively involved in various programs to ensure student success.

We are incredibly proud that Avondale ESD was voted as the Best Place to Work in the West Valley in 2023 and 2024 by the Community’s Choice “Best of the Desert” Awards, and were voted the 2023 Best School District in the “Best of the Best” Awards.  Six of our schools were named 2024 Best Elementary and Middle Schools by U.S. News and World Report; and a number of our schools have been named Best Public Schools.  In addition, we have an award-winning preschool program and before and after-school childcare programs.  Avondale ESD is the West Valley’s choice!
