Avondale ESD is proud to offer a free full-day kindergarten program.  Kindergarten is a pivotal year for students as they begin their educational journeys, and it provides the necessary time for students to master important learning standards before first grade. Full-day kindergarten increases students' social and emotional skills and improves student achievement. Thanks to our community, our educators are able to spend more time helping our youngest students learn to read, write, and develop foundational skills important to achieving success in school.

Children are eligible for kindergarten if they are five years of age before September 1 of the school year.  Children may also be considered for kindergarten through an early entrance assessment if they will be five years of age between August 31 and October 31. The early assessment window opens in April of each year.

To enroll your child in full-day kindergarten, visit any one of our elementary schools for enrollment assistance.  You may also download the registration packet, complete the required paperwork and deliver the packet to the school of your choice.
